ANSWER:
The
Death rate reaches 2.3 million around the world every year due to work
related injuries and incidents as per the ILO states. In 2004 WHO
estimated 4.9 millions fatalities were recorded due to chemical exposure.
ILO conventions C155 and recommendations R164 is meant for the enforcement
of moral duties of employers towards the worker and vice versa.
In
this organization Health & Safety culture is seen on top priority due to
which the company has high reputation and other companies are setting them
an example to achieve safe work culture. Since the safety culture is at
par the management sets the objective and attain them by continuous
monitoring process which clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of
all including Management to worker level.
Due
to the severity of the problem the company has set the world class health and
safety culture which benefits them in several ways. They are setting a trend of
positive safety culture which is inspiring other industries in similar business
with the concept of bench-marking. Management firmly believe in setting
objective and achieving them by SMART techniques through which they are
maintaining their name. They clearly assigned task and record responsibilities
of the individual worker which boost the morale of the workers make them work
with the company for long duration with a promising improvement in their work
which resulting in the growth of their competency. Absenteeism and sickness
rates is low which is a positive safety culture indicator, this results in less
staff turnover. The health and safety management arrangements are in place as
the companies incidents and accidents rates are very low and they don’t fail to
investigate near misses in order to take necessary precautions.
Effective
communication is present in the organization through which workers concerns are
noticed and Customer complaints are responded professionally. Internal audits
are very frequently done in the organization and they are also following
external audits.
Therefore
the health and safety moral in the organization is on high scale
